Who is responsible
Danilo Vaccalluzzo publishes the Sail With Dan app and this website. The app is for boats that have no wind instruments. This site has no accounts and no checkout.
Sailing
He has sailed since he was a teenager, first on a small daysailer along the Sicilian coast, later on charters around the Mediterranean. Wind angle, the beat, and a course he could check were the part he kept wanting.
Why this app
A professional app for sailors was the thing he wanted long before he could build one. Apps are his work now, so Sail With Dan puts that sailing and that work in the same product. One charter week settled it: the masthead unit was dead, the week was sailed on telltales, and the app started when he got home so the next boat would not need a wire up the mast.
